Zhenyuanlong suni 1/6th scale Dinosaur Action Figure

(Zhenyuan’s Dragon)– Noteworthy for its long arm and tail feathers, Zhenyuanlong was a dinosaur that closely resembled a bird. Despite this, its short arms would not have allowed it to fly and it remains a mystery as to what it used its large feathers for.

This figure measures approximately 12? long by 5? tall boasting 26 points of articulation and includes display base, posing rod w/ two support options, and interchangeable closed running toes, plus a unique background display insert.

Recommended for ages 15 and up (contains small parts)

Zhenyuanlong suni Information:

Zhenyuanlong suni is a species of dinosaur that belongs to the family Dromaeosauridae. It is a type of feathered dinosaur, commonly referred to as "raptors." The discovery of Zhenyuanlong suni has provided valuable insights into the evolution and characteristics of these ancient creatures.

Here are some key facts about Zhenyuanlong suni:

Name: Zhenyuanlong suni is named after the Zhenyuan County in China, where its fossil remains were unearthed. The specific name "suni" honors a Chinese scientist, Sun Aijun, for his contributions to the study of Chinese dinosaurs.

Classification: Zhenyuanlong suni belongs to the group of theropod dinosaurs, which includes well-known members like Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor.

Age and Formation: Zhenyuanlong lived during the Early Cretaceous period, approximately 125 million years ago. Its fossil remains were discovered in the famous Jehol Biota of China, known for its well-preserved dinosaur and bird fossils.

Size and Appearance: Zhenyuanlong suni was a relatively small dinosaur compared to some other theropods. It measured about 1.6 meters (5.2 feet) in length. One of the notable features of this species is the presence of feathered structures, which is typical of many dromaeosaurids.

Importance: Zhenyuanlong suni has provided significant evidence of feathers in non-avian dinosaurs, shedding light on the evolutionary link between dinosaurs and modern birds. The presence of feathers in dinosaurs suggests that plumage may have played an essential role in the biology and behavior of these creatures.

It's worth noting that research in paleontology is continually evolving, and new discoveries and findings might have emerged after my last update.
