Here's some key information about Diabloceratops eatoni: Discovery and Name: Diabloceratops was first described in 2010 by paleontologists James Kirkland, Donald DeBlieux, and Scott Madsen. The name "Diabloceratops" is derived from "Diablo," referring to the Diablo Plateau, the region where the fossils were discovered, and "ceratops," meaning horned face in Greek. Physical Characteristics: Diabloceratops was a relatively small ceratopsid dinosaur compared to other members of its family, measuring around 15 feet (4.6 meters) in length. It had a large bony frill at the back of its head and a pair of long brow horns above its eyes. The frill and horns likely played a role in communication and defense against predators. Horned Dinosaur: Diabloceratops belonged to the group of herbivorous dinosaurs known as ceratopsids, which are characterized by their distinctive horned faces and frills.
