Nasutoceratops titusi Information:

Nasutoceratops titusi is a species of dinosaur belonging to the Ceratopsidae family, which includes horned dinosaurs. It was named and described in 2013 by a team of researchers led by Scott D. Sampson, Eric K. Lund, Mark A. Loewen, and others. Here are some key characteristics of Nasutoceratops titusi: Time period: Nasutoceratops lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 76 to 75 million years ago. This makes it a relatively recent dinosaur in the geologic timeline. Location: The fossils of Nasutoceratops were discovered in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, United States. This area is rich in Late Cretaceous dinosaur fossils and has contributed significantly to our understanding of dinosaur diversity during that time. Unique features: Nasutoceratops is particularly interesting because of its elaborate facial features. It is characterized by an extremely large, ornate nasal horn with a backward-curved hook-like structure, which extends from the front of the snout. It also had long, curving brow horns and frill extensions on the back of its skull, which likely played a role in display or species recognition. Size: Nasutoceratops was a relatively large dinosaur. Its estimated length was around 15 to 20 feet (4.5 to 6 meters) and its weight was estimated to be several tons. Herbivorous diet: Like other ceratopsids, Nasutoceratops was a herbivorous dinosaur, feeding on plants and vegetation.
