Tristan the Gorgosaurus by PNSO is a masterful blend of scientific accuracy and artistic flair. This beautifully sculpted theropod features a lean, muscular build with fine scale detailing across its entire body. Tristan’s paintwork is especially striking, with a rich blend of earthy browns and darker striping that give the figure depth and presence. The head sculpt is expressive and finely tuned, with an open jaw that reveals individually sculpted teeth and a subtly textured tongue. The dynamic, mid-stride pose conveys motion and power, as though Tristan has just spotted its next meal. Whether you're a paleoart enthusiast or a serious collector, Tristan is a standout centerpiece that exemplifies PNSO’s commitment to quality and realism.
Gorgosaurus was a large tyrannosaurid theropod that lived about 76 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. Closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex, it shared many traits but was generally smaller and more lightly built. Gorgosaurus fossils have been found primarily in Alberta, Canada, and it is thought to have been a top predator in its ecosystem, preying on hadrosaurs and ceratopsians. Its name means "fierce lizard," and with its sharp teeth, powerful legs, and keen senses, it was well-adapted for hunting. Studies of Gorgosaurus growth patterns have also provided valuable insights into the life history of tyrannosaurids.
