

Pleuroceras Ammonite (CollectA)

Pleuroceras were small ammonites with a particularly beautifully ribbed shell with a serrated keel running around the outside. The meaning is "ribbed horn" and they were fast-moving carnivores that lived in marine waters of what is now the UK, Algeria, Austria, France, Germany, Spain, and Canada in the Lower Jurassic 189-183 Million years ago. Shells of different species can reach up to 140mm in diameter.
This true-to-life, scaled-down creature is perfect for use in dioramas and other display projects.
