EoFauna - Giganotosaurus
EoFauna Giganotosaurus measures: 15" L x 4.5" T.
EoFauna Giganotosaurus Review:The highlight of this model is the length and shape. Figure looks sleek and ready to run! Body foward, flat back, head out - looks fast.
Figure has a moveable jaw what opens and closes. Good range of motion opens to expose a bright red mouth. Bright mouth provides constrast to a brown and tan body. Body colors are well applied. Yellow eye is a little undersized and the teeth also seem undersized. Figure does balance, but balance is delicate. Overall a nice Giganotosaurus figure from EoFauna.
Giganotosaurus Dinosaur Information:Giganotosaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaur (hollow bones and 3 toed limbs) that lived in what is now Argentina, during the early Cenomanian age of the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 99.6 to 97 million years ago. One Giganotosaurus fossil was in 1993 and was almost 70% complete. Giganotosaurus translates as "giant southern lizard". The genus attracted much interest and became part of a heated scientific debate about the maximum sizes of theropod dinosaurs. Giganotosaurus is thought to have been one of the largest theropod dinosaurs but it is difficult to estimate its size reliably. It is therefore impossible to determine with certainty whether it was larger than Tyrannosaurus, for example, which has been considered the largest theropod historically. Giganotosaurus has been compared to an oversized version of the well-known genus Allosaurus.
