The Mojo Brontotherium figure captures the distinctive features of the Brontotherium, also known as the "thunder beast." It is sculpted in a dynamic stance, suggesting movement and vitality. The most striking feature of the figure is the pair of large, Y-shaped horns on its nose, a characteristic trait of Brontotherium.

The skin texture is realistically detailed, with a rough, leathery appearance that adds to the authenticity of the figure. Overall a good looking figure.

The Mojo Brontotherium Figure measures: 7" long by 3" tall.

Brontotherium, also known as Megacerops or "thunder beast," is an extinct genus of large, rhinoceros-like mammals that lived during the Late Eocene epoch, approximately 37 to 34 million years ago. These impressive creatures were part of the order Perissodactyla, which also includes modern horses, rhinoceroses, and tapirs. Brontotherium is particularly notable for its massive size and distinctive nasal horns, which have fascinated paleontologists and the public alike.

Brontotherium stood about 8 feet tall at the shoulders and could reach lengths of up to 16 feet. It had a robust, muscular body supported by sturdy, pillar-like legs, which were necessary to bear its significant weight. One of the most distinctive features of Brontotherium is the pair of large, Y-shaped horns on its nose, which were composed of bone and covered in keratin. These horns are thought to have been used for defense, combat with other males, and possibly for display purposes to attract mates.

The skull of Brontotherium was broad and thick, with a large braincase and pronounced ridges that provided attachment points for strong neck muscles. This anatomy suggests that Brontotherium had a powerful head capable of significant force, which would have been useful in battles for dominance or territory. Its teeth were large and adapted for grinding plant material, indicating that it was a herbivore that likely fed on a variety of vegetation, including leaves, fruits, and possibly softer plant tissues found in its Eocene environment.
