Hippo Mini
Good paint and detail, including mouth and teeth.
The PNSO Popo the Hippopotamus is a dynamic and finely crafted figure featuring an aggressive open-mouth pose that showcases the hippo’s massive jaws, impressive teeth, and tusks.
PNSO Popo the Hippopotamus measures: 2.8" L x 2.8" H.
This PNSO Hippopotamus figure captures the powerful build of the species with excellent sculpting and a dramatic action pose. The wide open mouth is the highlight of the model, exposing the large tusks and detailed interior mouth sculpt, giving the figure tremendous visual impact.
The barrel-shaped body, thick legs, and large head are portrayed accurately, while the smooth skin texture reflects the nearly hairless hide of real hippos. The grayish-brown paint application with subtle reddish undertones adds realism and depth.
Overall, this is a standout hippo figure for collectors who want a more aggressive and action-oriented pose.
The common hippopotamus is a large herbivorous mammal native to sub-Saharan Africa. Though bulky in appearance, hippos can run surprisingly fast on land and are well adapted to aquatic life, with eyes, ears, and nostrils positioned high on the head so they can remain mostly submerged while seeing and breathing. Their skin secretes a natural protective substance often referred to as "blood sweat," which helps prevent sunburn and dehydration.
Hippos typically live in groups called pods, bloats, or sieges, usually consisting of females, young, and a dominant male. They spend much of the day in rivers and lakes and emerge at night to graze.
