Safari Ltd. Prehistoric Collection - Megacerops #100084
3+ Years

Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Safari Ltd. Megacerops figure accurately portrays the Megacerops's distinctive features, including its massive body, thick limbs, and the characteristic forked nasal horn that gives the creature its name, meaning "large-horned face". This prehistoric figure reminds me of the modern day rhino.
The rough, pebbly texture of the hide looks realistic and feels good to the touch. The dynamic pose captures the essence of this ancient beast, as it holds its head high as if looking for danger or trying to pick up the scent of its next meal.
The Safari Ltd. Megacerops figure measures (in inches): 6.5 L x 1.97 W x 3.7 H
Megacerops was very similar to modern day rhinos, but was not closely related. It actually belonged to a group of prehistoric animals called Brontotheres (Thunder Beasts). These animals were larger than today's rhinos, and were the largest land mammals alive during the Eocene epoch. They lived around 35 million years ago.
Part of the Safari Ltd. Prehistoric Collection.
