Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Schleich Emperor Penguin captures the world's largest penguin species with realistic proportions and detailed sculpting inspired by these remarkable birds of Antarctica.
The Schleich Emperor Penguin measures: 1.3" L x 1.2" W x 2" H.
This Schleich Emperor Penguin features a realistic upright posture with finely sculpted feather detail and the distinctive black, white, and yellow coloration of an adult emperor penguin. The compact size and lifelike proportions make it an excellent addition to Arctic and Antarctic wildlife displays.
The detailed sculpting and hand-painted finish accurately capture the elegant appearance of this iconic seabird. Whether displayed with other polar animals or used for educational play, it is a standout figure in the Schleich Wild Life collection.
Emperor penguins are the largest and heaviest penguin species, reaching heights of nearly 4 feet and weighing up to about 90 pounds. They live exclusively in Antarctica, where they endure some of the harshest weather conditions on Earth.
Unlike most birds, emperor penguins do not build nests. After the female lays a single egg, she returns to the sea to feed while the male balances the egg on his feet beneath a warm fold of skin called a brood pouch. During the Antarctic winter, males incubate the egg for about two months while surviving on stored body fat until the females return.
