"Crocodile from Post", or as we know them, Postosuchus is an extinct genus of rauisuchid reptiles, that lived in what is now North America during the Late Triassic. A large hunter with a big skull and long tail. Adults are thought to have reached 13 feet in length and between 550 and 660 lbs. Protected by osteoderms, thick plates that form into scales on the back, neck, and tail.

It has long been debated Postosuchus was an obligate biped. Based on the forelimbs being nearly half the size of the hindlimbs, vertebrae measurements, and skeletal structure. In 2013 after a comprehensive study of the skeleton it appears that it may have been bipedal based on the limbs and weight bearing sections of the spine. Postosuchus bears many similarities to many therapods who were strictly bipedal.

Can you imagine it? A beast such as this moving through it's environment in a bipedal manner. A terrifying awesome sight to behold!

The art work and detail are beautiful on this hand painted figure.

Made of durable synthetic material. Hand Painted.
