Toymany - Komodo Dragon #00313
3+ Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Toymany Komodo Dragon features realistic sculpting, rough-textured skin, and a dynamic walking pose that captures the alert nature of the world's largest living lizard.
The Toymany Komodo Dragon measures: 6.2" L x 1.75" W x 1.5" H
The Toymany Komodo Dragon is sculpted in an active walking pose with its head raised and neck curved as if scanning its surroundings. The open mouth and extended forked tongue create a realistic feeding or scent-tracking posture commonly associated with monitor lizards. Fine surface texture across the body reflects the rough, armored scales of a real Komodo dragon, while the muscular tail and low stance reinforce the animal's heavy, powerful build.
The figure uses natural brown and gray coloration with subtle shading that adds depth without appearing exaggerated. The legs are positioned to suggest steady forward movement, giving the model a more lifelike appearance than a static display pose. Made from durable synthetic material, it works well for reptile collections, educational displays, or imaginative wildlife play focused on real-world species.
Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis) are the largest living lizards on Earth and are native to several Indonesian islands, including Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang. Adult males can exceed 10 feet in length and weigh more than 150 pounds. They are members of the monitor lizard family and are powerful predators capable of hunting deer, wild pigs, smaller reptiles, and carrion. Their long, forked tongues collect scent particles from the air, allowing them to track prey over considerable distances.
Komodo dragons possess serrated teeth and venom glands that contribute to blood loss and shock in prey animals. Although they are capable ambush hunters, they also spend significant time resting and conserving energy in hot, dry environments. Young Komodo dragons are more arboreal and feed on smaller prey, while adults dominate ground-level habitats. Due to habitat limitations, climate pressures, and human activity, Komodo dragons are classified as endangered and are protected within Indonesia.
