Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The CollectA Xenoceratops accurately captures the dramatic appearance of this unusual horned dinosaur. The figure features a large, highly ornamented frill, prominent brow horns, a forward-projecting nose horn, and a sturdy body typical of ceratopsian dinosaurs. The vibrant coloration is particularly striking, with the bold colors contrasting sharply against the black-and-white frill to create an eye-catching display piece.
The CollectA Xenoceratops measures approximately 2.5" tall and 5.5" from nose to tail.
This CollectA Xenoceratops stands out thanks to its elaborate head ornamentation and colorful paint scheme. The sculpt successfully emphasizes the dinosaur's distinctive frill, long brow horns, and forward-leaning nasal horn, all of which help distinguish Xenoceratops from other ceratopsians. Fine details throughout the frill and facial features add realism while highlighting the unique anatomy of this recently discovered species.
The bold color palette complements the sculpt exceptionally well, drawing attention to the intricate frill design and horn arrangement. Collectors of horned dinosaurs will appreciate the figure's unusual appearance and scientific significance, while younger dinosaur enthusiasts will enjoy adding a less common ceratopsian to their prehistoric collection.
Xenoceratops, whose name means "alien horned face," lived approximately 78 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period in what is now Alberta, Canada. It belongs to the ceratopsian group of dinosaurs, which are known for their facial horns, beaks, and elaborate neck frills. Xenoceratops is one of the earliest known members of the centrosaurine branch of the ceratopsian family tree.
The dinosaur is best known for its unusually large and ornate frill, which featured scalloped edges and decorative horn-like projections. Its impressive brow horns measured up to 20 inches in length and likely played a role in visual displays, species recognition, or attracting mates. Like other ceratopsians, Xenoceratops was a herbivore that used its sharp beak to crop vegetation while roaming the ancient floodplains of Late Cretaceous North America.
