Sculpted in an active crouch, the pose on this figure is amazing as it looks ready to pounce on its prey. The front legs create a wide base, while the rear legs appear coiled and ready to spring. The wing tips reach high above the body but are exceeded by the elevated tail.
Overall colors are interesting. The textured body is forest green with appropriate grey accent spots. The body is upstaged by the wings, which feature an uncommon salmon red / pink coloration. Grey toenails are a nice touch.
The true highlight of this figure is the head. The distinctive oversized crest dominates the figure, while the jaw opens and closes with a decent range of motion. The glossy paint on the eye helps bring the figure to life. An outstanding figure from CollectA.
Caviramus was a prehistoric flying reptile known as a pterosaur. Like other pterosaurs, it was not a dinosaur but belonged to a separate group of reptiles that evolved powered flight.
