This is one of my favorite prehistoric models by CollectA. The colors are attention-grabbing, especially the Tiffany blue eyes! Beautifully painted and sculpted, bringing this Cambrian creature back to life. This model has almost an armored appearance achieved with fine details on the body segments. The compound eyes have a good texture to illustrate the independent ommatidia(photoreceptors). Such a great model by CollectA, nothing else like it on our website!
Anomalocaris Information:
Anomalocaris is a prehistoric creature that lived during the Cambrian period, approximately 535 to 520 million years ago. It is considered one of the earliest known large predators in the fossil record. Anomalocaris was a marine animal that belonged to a group called the anomalocaridids, which were arthropods.
