Unique pose with head up in roaring pose. Front foot ready to stomp on something. Nice hair texture with large curved tusks. Good looking model from EoFauna.

EoFauna Steppe Mammoth Review:

While there are a couple of other mammoth toy models with their head up, this model is unique in that it does not have all 4 feet on the ground and thus has the most motion of any current mammoth figure. Model has a nice hair texture on the entire body but as the Steppe Mammoth was the first mammoth to live in a cold climate, we would actually like even MORE hair texture on this figure. Overall a nice mammoth model. Face and tusks look good.

Woolly Mammoth Information:

The woolly mammoth was roughly the same size as modern African elephants. Coexisting with early humans, who used its bones and tusks for art, tools, food, and shelter. It disappeared from its mainland range at the end of the Pleistocene 10,000 years ago. Isolated populations survived on St. Paul Island until 5,600 years ago and on Wrangel Island until 4,000 years ago.

    Mammoth--could be shaggier

    Agree with another review--I would think the animal would be shaggier. You don't get that sense with this model. I do like the dynamism. The tusks are thinner in person than the picture. Not a bad thing as they seem to be more in proportion with what that animal would likely produce.

    Beautiful mammoth! This is a very animated, exciting figure. The dynamic pose portrays excitement, as if this animal may be sounding an alarm. Details in the fur, eyes, mouth and tusks are extremely well executed.
