The EoFauna Konobelodon is a unique prehistoric elephant relative featuring four distinct tusks—two straight upper tusks and two lower “shovel” tusks. This rare model highlights one of the most unusual proboscideans ever discovered.

This EoFauna Konobelodon is a rare and distinctive model representing an unusual prehistoric species. The most striking feature is the four tusks: two long, straight upper tusks and two shorter, curved lower tusks often referred to as shovel tusks. These lower tusks add a unique visual element that sets this figure apart from other prehistoric elephant models.

The sculpt features a relatively smooth body with realistic folds and skin texture, along with a nicely shaped head and raised trunk that adds character to the figure. Currently, this is one of the few Konobelodon figures available, making it a standout addition for collectors interested in lesser-known prehistoric species.

Konobelodon Information:

Konobelodon was a prehistoric relative of modern elephants belonging to a group known as gomphotheres. These animals lived millions of years ago and are known for their distinctive four-tusk arrangement, including flattened lower tusks that may have been used for digging or scooping vegetation.

Unlike mammoths, which had two tusks and lived during the Ice Age, Konobelodon represents an earlier branch of elephant evolution. Fossil evidence suggests these animals inhabited a range of environments and had feeding behaviors adapted to their unique tusk structure.

    God and Mother Nature must have been experimenting when this mammal was created. The combination of the upper and lower tusks are a wonder to see. Love the stance of this ancestor of the elephants. You can almost hear its roar. Very happy to add this figure to my prehistoric figures.

    I recently purchased this along with four other proboscideans to start a prehistoric mammals collection and I'm really impressed on how good it looks. I really love how extraordinary the tusks look and the girth of it was bigger than I thought. The coloration is neatly applied and the attention to detail is very nice. Overall, this figure is great and I highly recommend it. Thank you Happy Hen Toys for delivering this figure to me with care and I will definitely be buying more from you guys.

    This is a wonderful figure! Incredibly realistic sculpting and painting. Simply beautiful! Tusks have a very realistic, weathered/heavily used appearance. A "Must Have" for your prehistoric elephant collection!
