Ankylosaurus magniventris lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous period approximately 68–66 million years ago. It was one of the largest and most heavily armored dinosaurs ever discovered, reaching lengths of up to 26 feet.
Its body was covered in bony armor plates called osteoderms, and its massive tail club likely served as a powerful defensive weapon against predators such as Tyrannosaurus rex. Despite its intimidating defenses, Ankylosaurus was a peaceful herbivore that fed on low-growing vegetation.
