Mojo Parasaurolophus dinosaur model featuring the species’ distinctive backward-curving crest and classic duck-billed herbivore form from the Late Cretaceous:
The Mojo Parasaurolophus measures: 5.9″ L x 2″ W x 4.9″ H
Mojo’s Parasaurolophus captures the unmistakable silhouette of this famous duck-billed dinosaur, especially the long, backward-sweeping crest that curves gracefully from the head. The sculpt emphasizes the animal’s balanced stance, sturdy legs, and long tail, giving the figure a sense of motion as if it is calmly walking through its prehistoric environment. The painted skin texture and natural coloration help bring out the details across the body, highlighting muscle structure and the distinctive head shape that makes Parasaurolophus so recognizable.
Collectors and dinosaur enthusiasts will appreciate how the figure focuses on the key features that define this species. The crest, the broad duck-bill, and the overall body proportions are all carefully represented, making the model easy to identify even among other hadrosaur figures. It fits naturally into dinosaur displays, classroom collections, or imaginative play scenes set in the Late Cretaceous world.
Parasaurolophus was a large plant-eating dinosaur that lived about 76–73 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now western North America. It belonged to a group known as hadrosaurs, often called duck-billed dinosaurs because of the broad, flattened shape of their mouths. Adults could grow to roughly 30 feet long and likely moved both on two legs and on all fours while feeding on vegetation such as leaves, shoots, and conifer needles.
Its most distinctive feature was the long, backward-curving crest extending from the skull. Fossil evidence shows the crest was hollow and connected to the animal’s nasal passages. Many paleontologists believe it functioned as a resonating chamber, allowing Parasaurolophus to produce deep, trumpet-like calls that may have helped members of a herd communicate over long distances. The crest may also have played a role in visual display or species recognition among these social dinosaurs.
