This is one of three Ankylosaurus figures offered by Mojo. Unlike the other two versions, which share the same sculpt with different paint schemes, this figure features a completely different body shape. It is our favorite of the three Mojo Ankylosaurus figures.

This is our favorite of the three Mojo Ankylosaurus figures. The other two Mojo offerings share the same mold with different paint colors, while this version features a completely different sculpt. We especially like the lower, more square-shaped armor plates across the back, which give the figure a more natural appearance.
Although the underside is finished in a simple tan color, the gray and white wash across the back provides attractive detail. The closed-mouth sculpt also gives the head a distinctive appearance that we prefer over the other two Mojo versions.
Ankylosaurus, meaning "great belly," was a heavily armored dinosaur that lived in western North America during the very end of the Cretaceous Period, about 68 to 66 million years ago. It was among the last non-avian dinosaurs before the mass extinction event.
Its most recognizable feature was the extensive armor covering its body, made of bony plates called osteoderms embedded within the skin. Ankylosaurus also possessed a massive tail club that was likely used for defense against predators such as Tyrannosaurus.
