This is one of three Ankylosaurus figures produced by Mojo and features the same sculpt as Mojo #381025 with an updated 2022 paint scheme. The combination of light and dark brown coloring accented with bright orange highlights makes the armor plates and defensive spikes stand out dramatically.
The heavily armored body, large tail club, and sharply sculpted side spikes give the model an impressive appearance. The detailed hand-painted finish and updated color palette make this one of the most visually striking Ankylosaurus figures currently available from Mojo.
Ankylosaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous Period approximately 68 to 66 million years ago in what is now western North America. Its name means "fused lizard," referring to the extensive fusion of bones that strengthened its skeleton. It was among the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist before the mass extinction event that ended the Age of Dinosaurs.
Its body was protected by thick armor plates called osteoderms embedded within the skin, while its broad tail ended in a massive bony club capable of delivering powerful defensive blows. Although a slow-moving herbivore, Ankylosaurus was exceptionally well protected against predators, making it one of the most formidable armored dinosaurs ever discovered.
