PNSO Lucas the Giganotosaurus - New Model Review:

The arms and claws of this model are short and adorable. The head is huge and painted well with a lovely pink mouth. This figure has a detailed wrinkly hide with a leathery texture. This Scientific Art Model brings us a more realistic looking imagining of this creature than the previous Lucas Model. The articulated jaw opens and closes. An art poster is included with an informational booklet and clear plasic stand.

Giganotosaurus Information:

Giganotosaurus (pronounced ji-gan-oh-toh-saw-rus) was a genus of large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 99 to 97 million years ago. It was one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs that ever lived, with some estimates suggesting that it may have grown up to 43 feet (13 meters) in length and weighed as much as 13 tons.
Giganotosaurus had a long, narrow skull with sharp teeth, and powerful hind legs with sharp claws. It is believed to have been a formidable predator, hunting large herbivorous dinosaurs such as Argentinosaurus, which may have been among the largest land animals ever to have lived.
Giganotosaurus is known from a few fragmentary fossils discovered in Argentina, and much of what we know about this dinosaur comes from these remains. Despite its impressive size and fearsome appearance, however, much about Giganotosaurus remains a mystery, and scientists continue to study this fascinating dinosaur in order to learn more about its biology and behavior.

PNSO is a specialized organization devoted to Scientific Art creation and research. It was founded in Beijing by Mr. ZHAO Chuang, a Scientific Artist, and Ms. YANG Yang, a science writer for children.
