Lurdusaurus was a heavily built iguanodont dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous, discovered in what is now Niger. Unlike many of its relatives, it had a low, barrel-shaped body and long forelimbs that may have helped it move through wetlands. Scientists think it spent much of its time around rivers and marshes, grazing on plants and possibly using its bulk to deter predators. Its unique proportions make it one of the most fascinating herbivores from its era.
