Guanlingsaurus Information:

Guanlingsaurus liangae was a large ichthyosaur from the Late Triassic period, found in China’s Guizhou Province. Closely related to Shonisaurus, it could reach lengths exceeding 8 meters (26 feet) and was one of the top predators of its ecosystem. With its elongated body and dolphin-like shape, Guanlingsaurus was well-adapted for swift swimming, using its powerful tail to propel through the ancient seas in pursuit of fish and cephalopods. The well-preserved fossils from the Guanling Formation have provided paleontologists with key insights into the early evolution and diversity of ichthyosaurs.
