This chinchilla figure is part of the Incredible Creature line by Safari Ltd. and it is detailed nicely. Sculpted in a moving pose, the adorable mammal appears to be hopping forward. Great attention was paid to the every detail of this creature. Spanning from the large ears, puffy tail, twitchy nose, little toes and body shape- a lovely design that captures the life essence of this creature. This is a solid plastic figure, and has some weight to it. Overall an attractive figure well painted and textured.

Chinchillas are small rodents native to the Andes Mountains of South America, particularly in the countries of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. They have a soft, dense fur that is highly valued for its use in clothing, particularly in the fur trade.
Chinchillas are known for their agility and jumping ability, as well as their long, bushy tails. They are social animals and are often kept as pets due to their friendly and curious personalities.
In the wild, chinchillas are herbivores and eat a diet of grasses, seeds, and vegetation. They have also been known to practice coprophagy, which is the eating of their own feces as a means of obtaining nutrients that were not absorbed during digestion. Chinchillas have a lifespan of around 10-15 years and can weigh up to one pound.
