This is the larger and more premium of the two Stegosaurus figures from Safari Ltd. While the smaller version (#284429) is known for its value, this model offers increased size and presence.
The figure features a deep brown base color with tan highlights across the body and plates. The well-formed plates, subtle paint variation, and classic pose make it an excellent choice for dinosaur collectors and display.

Stegosaurus lived during the Late Jurassic Period about 150 million years ago and is easily recognized by the row of large bony plates along its back and the four spikes at the end of its tail.
The tail spikes, often called the thagomizer, were likely used for defense against predators such as Allosaurus. Although enormous in size, Stegosaurus was a herbivore that fed on low-growing vegetation.
