While we would like to see more details, it is important to note that this is one of the more affordable models available, making it an good value selection.

The Safari Ltd. Octopus #274429 measures: 5” L x 4.25” W x 1.5” T.

Safari Ltd. Octopus #274429 Review:

The Safari Ltd. Octopus figre features a solid orange color on its upper body, with an off-white underside that has some orange accents. Each tentacle is adorned with bright white suckers that resemble pearls.

The sucker patterns on this figurine are not as intricate as some other models. Eye sockets bumps are large with basic black eyes. We would like to see more color variation on the upper body, but this is generally one of the less expensive models and represents a good value.

Octopus Information:

Belonging to the cephalopod family, which includes squids and cuttlefish, octopuses are one of the most intriguing creatures in the ocean. Known for their intelligence, unique physical appearance, and remarkable camouflage abilities, octopuses have eight tentacles lined with suction cups that enable them to catch prey and navigate the ocean floor.

With their large brains and complex nervous systems, octopuses are one of the most intelligent invertebrates, exhibiting problem-solving skills, tool usage, and playful behavior. Consequently, they are popular subjects for study by researchers worldwide.

One of the most fascinating features of octopuses is their ability to alter the color and texture of their skin to blend in with their surroundings. This is achieved through specialized skin cells called chromatophores that can rapidly change color and texture, allowing the octopus to disappear or mimic other animals.

Octopuses also exhibit intriguing mating behaviors. The female octopus will lay her eggs and guard them until they hatch, during which time she will not eat and will eventually die, sacrificing herself to protect her offspring.
