Overall, many of the features on this figure are just slightly better than the other Leatherback Turtle figures. The ridges on the shell are lightly colored rough ridges and are a standout feature. The contrasts in colors are subtle but eye catching. The head up position causes nice wrinkles in the neck and the face is cute. Flippers are well shaped and detailed. Nice, subtle striping on the belly. Just a strong figure from Papo.
This is the largest of the Leatherback Turtle figure currently available. Overall figure is dark grey (almost black). Light grey accents on the back transition to bright black and white striping on the under belly. Front flippers are spread wide as if in a swimming pose. Some think with spread flippers look a little awkward. Head is adequate – neck does not have any wrinkles. If you are looking for a leatherback turtle on the larger size – this is an good choice.
This is fine looking model and (as of this writing) is generally is one of the lower cost models .Figure is also one of the smaller models, but is not undersized – size is adequate. Nice paint on the back and belly, with combination of dark and light greys. Belly to back contrast is good looking. Nice sharp ridges on the back. We like the head on this figure – while sticking out straight, has nice wrinkles at the base of the neck. This is an adequate model and also a good choice.
