The CollectA Hydrotherosaurus - Blue captures the distinctive appearance of this long-necked marine reptile with its streamlined body, four flippers, and elongated neck. Its aquatic proportions create an appealing representation of this lesser-known prehistoric reptile.
The CollectA Hydrotherosaurus - Blue measures: 7.5" L x 1.5" H.
The CollectA Hydrotherosaurus - Blue features a remarkably long neck extending from a streamlined body equipped with four flippers. The sculpt emphasizes the animal's aquatic adaptations while the pointed head and elongated proportions create the recognizable profile of an elasmosaurid plesiosaur.
The four-flippered body and short tail give the figure a convincing marine appearance, while the extended neck creates an interesting silhouette. Its unusual proportions make this figure an appealing addition to a collection of prehistoric marine reptiles.
Hydrotherosaurus, meaning "water beast lizard," was a long-necked plesiosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous Period approximately 80 million years ago. It inhabited marine waters along what is now western North America and used its jaws and teeth to capture fish and other marine prey.
Hydrotherosaurus had a streamlined body propelled through the water by four powerful flippers, along with an exceptionally long neck and a relatively short tail. Like other plesiosaurs, it was a marine reptile rather than a dinosaur and spent its life adapted to an aquatic environment.
