The CollectA Skunk captures the distinctive appearance of this small mammal with its stocky body, short legs, bushy tail, and bold black and white coloration. The contrasting stripes extending along the back and tail make the figure immediately recognizable.
The CollectA Skunk measures: 2.2" L x 1.6" H.
The CollectA Skunk features the compact body, short legs, and large bushy tail characteristic of a skunk. Its distinctive black and white coat provides strong contrast and highlights the animal's recognizable body shape.
The bold striping across the back and tail is the standout feature of the model and effectively captures the skunk's familiar appearance. Its compact proportions and distinctive coloring make this an appealing addition to a North American wildlife collection.
Skunks belong to the family Mephitidae and are found throughout much of North and Central America, with some species occurring in South America. They are omnivores that eat a varied diet including insects, small animals, fruits, and other plant material.
Skunks are particularly well known for their powerful defensive spray. Their conspicuous black and white coloration serves as a warning to potential predators, while spraying is generally reserved for situations in which the animal feels threatened.
