The CollectA Sciurumimus is based on a very juvenile fossil found in Bavaria in 2011. It is called 'squirrel mimic' on account of its feathered tail that must have resembled the fur of a squirrel. It is not known how large the adult would have grown to. This is a cute little figure of a rare dinosaur. Mounted on a base for stability.

A phylogenetic analysis suggested that Sciurumimus may have been a primitive member of the Megalosauroidea, a clade of large carnivorous dinosaurs more primitive than many other well-known theropods like the tyrannosauroids and carnosaurs, making it the most basal known feathered theropod.
