The EoFauna Steppe Mammoth stands out for its highly dynamic pose. Unlike many mammoth figures that have all four feet planted, this model lifts one foot and raises its head, giving it a sense of motion and energy that is rare among mammoth figures. The sculpt includes detailed hair texture across the body, along with well-shaped tusks and a strong facial design.

While the figure has good overall texture, some collectors may expect even thicker fur representation, as the steppe mammoth was one of the earliest mammoths adapted to colder environments. Even so, the combination of pose, sculpt, and detailing makes this a distinctive and appealing model for display.

Steppe Mammoth Information:

The steppe mammoth (Mammuthus trogontherii) was an early species of mammoth that lived during the Pleistocene epoch and is considered an ancestor of the woolly mammoth. It was one of the first mammoths to adapt to cooler climates, developing features that would later become more pronounced in its descendants.

These massive animals roamed across Eurasia and had long curved tusks used for feeding and defense. Over time, the steppe mammoth evolved into species better suited for extreme cold, including the well-known woolly mammoth.

    Woolly Mammoth

    The stance of this figure is incredible. I wish the figure had more fur hence wooly. If they remake it please give it more fur. Despite the lack of the fur this figure really stands out. If it had more fur I would have given it 6 stars. Still it's a great addition to my collection.

    Mammoth--could be shaggier

    Agree with another review--I would think the animal would be shaggier. You don't get that sense with this model. I do like the dynamism. The tusks are thinner in person than the picture. Not a bad thing as they seem to be more in proportion with what that animal would likely produce.

    Beautiful mammoth! This is a very animated, exciting figure. The dynamic pose portrays excitement, as if this animal may be sounding an alarm. Details in the fur, eyes, mouth and tusks are extremely well executed.
