Australian Rainbow Lorikeet (Mojo): A colorful parrot figure capturing the vibrant plumage and lively personality of one of Australia's most recognizable birds.
The Mojo Australian Rainbow Lorikeet measures: 3.94" L x 1.38" W x 1.69" H
Mojo's Australian Rainbow Lorikeet captures the vivid coloration that makes this parrot one of Australia's most recognizable bird species. The figure is sculpted in a natural perched pose with carefully painted green wings, a deep blue head, and a bright orange-yellow chest that closely reflects the appearance of the real bird. The curved beak and upright posture help give the model a lively and alert personality.
The proportions and paint application are well balanced, allowing the figure to work effectively in both wildlife displays and educational collections. Fine feather texturing adds depth without overwhelming the sculpt, while the bright color transitions remain clean and visually striking. This model pairs especially well with tropical bird collections and Australian wildlife displays.
Rainbow lorikeets are brightly colored parrots native to Australia, particularly common along the eastern and northern coastal regions. They are highly social birds often seen flying in noisy flocks or gathering in flowering trees and urban parks. Their bright plumage makes them easy to identify, especially the combination of green wings, blue head, and orange chest.
Unlike many parrots that primarily eat seeds, rainbow lorikeets feed mainly on nectar and pollen. They possess specialized brush-tipped tongues that help them collect nectar from flowers such as eucalyptus and bottlebrush. They also consume fruit and occasionally insects. Because they adapt well to urban environments and are highly vocal, rainbow lorikeets have become one of the most familiar parrots in many Australian cities and suburbs.
