Hummingbird (Papo)

The Papo Hummingbird was a new introduction in 2022. WOW - beautiful. This is one of our favorite bird figures. Bright shiny green and blue are awesome.

Papo Hummingbird Review:

Wow! This is a small but great figure. We love, love, love the coloring on this figure. The blue and green is a shiny application which just pops off the figure. Nice, dainty figure. Feet are not well defined verses the little stump the figure rests on. Top notch figure.

Hummingbird Information:

Hummingbirds are native to the Americas and can even be found as far north as Alaska. Hummingbirds have a very high heart rate but can lower their heart rate to 1/5 of its peak when not needed. The hummingbird is capable of hovering in flight.

Hummingbirds feed mainly on nectar and small insects and spiders. They visit flowers in order to feed on the nectar inside, and they use their long bill to reach the nectar while hovering mid-air. They also use their long bills to catch insects, which they eat while in flight.

Hummingbirds have an important role in pollination, as they help spread pollen from one flower to the next. As they feed, the pollen from the flower sticks to their bill and is then transferred to the next flower they visit. In this way, hummingbirds help maintain the health of many different species of plants.
