Papo Pigeon Review:

I myself am quite smitten with pigeons and this figure looks great! It's so tiny and adorable. For such a small figure it has great detail paid to the head and feet. The paint job is wonderful and even has the iridescent feathers too!

Pigeon Information:

Pigeons are a type of bird belonging to the family Columbidae, which includes over 300 species. They are found all around the world, except in the most extreme environments such as deserts and polar regions. Pigeons have been domesticated for thousands of years and are known for their ability to adapt to different environments. Wild pigeons typically have a small to medium-sized body, a short neck, and a round head. They have sturdy beaks and small, narrow beady eyes. Their feathers come in a variety of colors, including shades of gray, brown, white, and black. Some species of pigeons also have iridescent feathers that can appear shiny in certain lighting conditions. Pigeons are highly social birds and often form large flocks. They are known for their homing ability, which allows them to navigate over long distances and return to their home or nesting site. This remarkable homing instinct has been exploited by humans for centuries, using pigeons as messengers or racing birds. In urban areas, pigeons are commonly seen in parks, city squares, and on buildings. They have adapted well to urban environments and are often considered pests due to their tendency to roost and nest in buildings, creating messes with their droppings. Pigeons primarily feed on seeds, grains, fruits, and small invertebrates. They have a diverse diet and can eat a wide range of food sources. Overall, pigeons are fascinating birds with a long history of interaction with humans, both as domesticated birds and as inhabitants of urban environments.

Papo figures are made of durable synthetic material. Hand Painted.
