Bright orange and black Northern Oriole bird figure from Mojo, carefully sculpted to capture the beauty of this colorful backyard songbird:
The Mojo Northern Oriole measures: 2.8" L x 1.2" W x 1.7" H
The Mojo Northern Oriole captures the striking appearance of this familiar North American songbird with vivid orange plumage contrasted against black wings, head, and tail. The figure reflects the sleek proportions and alert posture typical of orioles seen perched in trees or visiting backyard feeders. Subtle feather texturing and clean paint application help emphasize the bird's recognizable coloration and elegant shape.
The model works well in bird collections, woodland displays, or educational nature scenes. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate alongside other backyard bird figures, while the bright colors allow it to stand out visually. Mojo's sculpting and paintwork successfully convey the lively character associated with orioles, making the figure appealing to both collectors and younger wildlife enthusiasts.
The bird commonly referred to as the Northern Oriole is now classified primarily as the Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula), a colorful migratory songbird native to North America. Adult males are known for their brilliant orange underparts and black head, wings, and back, while females display softer yellow-orange coloration. Orioles are commonly found in open woodlands, parks, orchards, and suburban neighborhoods with tall deciduous trees.
These birds are especially known for their hanging woven nests, which are carefully constructed by females using grasses, plant fibers, and other flexible materials. Orioles feed on insects, fruit, and nectar, and are often attracted to sliced oranges and specialized feeders placed in gardens. Each year they migrate between breeding grounds in North America and wintering areas in Mexico, Central America, and parts of the Caribbean.
