Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
Papo Amargasaurus is a hand-painted dinosaur figure that highlights the unique neck spines of this unusual sauropod with a realistic sculpt and compact size.
The Papo Amargasaurus measures: 9.5" L x 3.1" H
The Papo Amargasaurus differs from many other figures of this dinosaur by featuring the distinctive paired neck spines without continuing them along the back. The sculpt focuses attention on this unique characteristic while maintaining realistic proportions and a natural pose.
The figure has subtle skin texture, evenly applied paint, and a compact size that works well for both display and imaginative play. It is an appealing representation of one of the most unusual sauropods ever discovered.

Amargasaurus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina about 125 million years ago. Unlike the giant sauropods that lived alongside it, Amargasaurus reached only about 30 feet in length and weighed an estimated 2 to 3 tons.
Its most distinctive feature was the pair of long spines running along its neck. Paleontologists continue to debate whether these supported individual spikes or a skin-covered sail used for display, defense, or temperature regulation. Our understanding of Amargasaurus comes primarily from a single fossil specimen discovered in Argentina in 1984.
